3 Travel Experiences To Add To Your Bucket List

posted in: Articles and awards | 1

The majority of people today have a bucket list full of travel experiences. Either in their mind, on paper, or in a visual form such as a board on Pinterest.

Travel experiences

Your bucket list is personal to you and might include anything from swimming with whale sharks to exploring Thailand. Yet when you commit these goals to paper something magical happens. It programs your subconscious mind to find creative ways to achieve and facilitate these experiences.

There’s a part of your brain known as the reticular activating system. This part of your brain is responsible for filtering and cataloging the huge amount of data people receive at any one time. Meaning, it determines and dictates where you focus your attention.

A good way to describe this phenomenon is to consider what happens when you are thinking about buying a car. All the others cars of the same model will jump out at you when considering a particular model.

In a similar way, when you have a travel wishlist, your brain notices and focuses on specific opportunities that could bring what you want into your life. As your brain is ultimately a problem-solving computer it will focus on whatever you program it to focus on.

Therefore, if you want to tick off all the items on your travel bucket list, it’s strongly recommended you write your dreams down and even better create a vision board that uses pictures – the reason for this is that your subconscious mind thinks in images and feelings rather than facts.

In this sense, it will connect much more strongly with a picture of an experience rather than the written word. This is because it accesses the creative right hemisphere rather than the logical left hemisphere.

Now that the psychology lesson is over, let’s take a look at three travel experiences you must experience at least once in your life:

travel experiences

Whilst many people consider a cruise as something more mature and wealthy people tend to engage in. As opposed to young adventurous travellers. There is something fantastically satisfying about a cruise; in that you get to experience a large number of destinations in a short space of time, everything is taken care of, and the cost isn’t all that much if you find a good deal on a site such as www.bolsovercruiseclub.com that works with multiple cruise companies.

If you’re anything like most people, when checking in for a long haul flight you hope to hear those magic words. “We’re sorry, economy class is full, we’re going to have to upgrade you to business class”. Yet if this doesn’t happen to you, there can be some great deals on business class tickets using air miles which is worth it at least once in your life.

Hill tribe travel experiences

In contrast to the luxury of the first two suggestions, staying with a local village hill tribe is an experience unlike any other. (see: https://www.globotreks.com/destinations/thailand-destinations/homestay-karen-tribe-thailand/ for inspiration). Spending a few nights with authentic people in a completely different cultural environment can be very life-enriching and enhancing experience.

In summary, bucket lists are fantastic psychological tools that help focus your brain to manifest what you want. If you’re into travel, the above suggestions should feature on everyone’s bucket list.
