Vigeland sculpture park in the snow!
It’s amazing how different places look at different times of the year. I think Vigeland Park looked particularly beautiful in the snow!
Vigeland Park is the work of Gustav Vigeland who has created more than 200 sculptures. The park is the largest sculpture park created by one artist alone.
Completed between 1939 and 1949 the free to enter park is still popular today. With locals and tourists alike. We were lucky to visit at a time when the park was relatively quiet. We enjoyed the sculptures on our own and took advantage of the photo opportunites.
The park is made up of the main gate, the bridge, children’s playground, the fountain plateau and wheel of life.
To get here you can catch the number 12 tram which stops right outside. Or you can jump on the T-bane metro system to Majorstuen and take a leisurely 15 minute walk.
